HOW TO : Keylab Pads in Ableton

Keylab Pads in Ableton


Add the tracks

  1. Open Ableton
  2. Insert Analog Lab
  3. Insert 2 MIDI track
  4. Name the First 'Pad' and the second 'Keyboard'

Click on I/O button in order to see the Input/output of each track


Configure the track "Analog Lab

  1. Under 'Analog Lab' track configuration:
  2. 'MIDI from' = 'No Input'
  3. Record button = 'OFF'


Configure the track "Pad"

  1. Under the 'Pad' track configuration:
  2. 'MIDI from' = 'KeyLab 49' ; 'Channel 10'
  3. 'Monitor' = 'auto'
  4. 'MIDI To' = 'Analog Lab' ; '10-Analog Lab'

Record button = 'ON' (red)


Configure the track "Keyboard"

  1. Under the 'Keyboard' track configuration:
  2. 'MIDI from' = 'KeyLab 49' ; 'Channel 1'
  3. 'Monitor' = 'auto'
  4. 'MIDI To' = 'Analog Lab' ; '1-Analog Lab'

Record button = 'ON' (red)
