Title: TR909 (DR909) Rim Shot
Post by: wintersunproject on November 23, 2012, 11:01:51 pm
Is it just me or does the emulation of the TR-909 rimshot sound nothing like the TR-909 ?
I cant get it to sound remotely like the TR-909.
Is this a known issue ?

Im using 1.5 on mac

jusdging by the lack of reply from Arturia im guessing they dont give a toss..
Anyway ive bought a Jomox Airbase 99 instead to sort the 808 and 909 situation out, its probably the best analog drum unit ever made, albeit a bit on the rare side, will control it from the spark, job done..

Thanks though,.

Hyperreal.org has the best TR-909 sample set ever.

Sorry for not replying before,
I think I can not say more than what Paul said to the other thread (http://www.arturia.com/evolution/smf/index.php?topic=10297.msg28119#msg28119).
We have done our best to try to replicate the sound of the TR but this was not possible to do the exact same sound.

Im using hardware (an airbase 99) with the spark now so all sorted..
