Title: LFO audible at all times on Triangle wave.
Post by: ricvdb on April 15, 2013, 05:30:33 pm
Any idea about this?

All knobs in LFO section are zero'd in the centre (PWM/Metalizer, pitch, filter, amp).  But when the triangle wave slider is engaged, i still here the LFO affecting the signal (and can be controlled with the rate knob).  I've attached an audio clip.  Doesn't seem right.

note: i am adjusting the LFO rate throughout this audio clip, you hear it more noticeably when the rate is higher, a bit later in the clip

I guess you are using a bit of metalizer in your sound.
Metalizer is a very sensitive circuit, On the pot range they are some points, especially at the beginning of the range, where metalizer sound can indeed be affected by the LFO, even if LFO amount is at center position. Being extremely sensible to power supply voltage variations, is one of the drawback of this circuit....
If you use a larger amount of metalizer, it should not be noticeable anymore.
