Title: Disable/Delete Kits
Post by: mike841 on July 10, 2013, 09:11:10 pm
Hi Gang,

  Anyone know of a way to disable or delete specific kits? I have certain kits that when loaded, distort and then lockup my computer. Can't figure out the reason so I just want to disable them. I have made a list of the bad ones but when I'm scrolling thru kits to find the right one for a track, I forget to check my list and accidentally load one of the bad ones. That's when my computer crashes and I'm forced to reboot. It would be safer for me just to disable or delete the bad kits.

Any help appreciated, mike.

Hi Mike,

Sorry to hear that you are having issues with some of the kits, if you really just want to remove them from spark the easiest way to do this is remove them from your library. To do that you need to navigate to the folder that contains your library;
- on windows it's usually: username/Documents/Spark Library
- on mac: Library/Arturia/Spark/Spark Library

Inside of the this folder you will find to folders, one named Factory and one name User. You can open these and remove any of the kits you like.

Before deleting anything I suggest backing up your user projects somewhere, deleting the whole Spark Library folder and reinstalling it; when you install Spark you have the option to just install the library.

Let me know how you get on.
