Hello,
i noticed that i can only use sparkLE in 44hz with the 1.7 update.
Soon as i switch sample rate , it tell me : unsupported sample rate (i try to switch it in 88hz).
I'm on Imac mid-2011 (OSX 10.8.4) and my audio card is a RME babyface.
I tried a lot of things like unplug the unit, restart , switch the sample rate before plugging the Spark but nothing work.
Thanks and have a good day!

I think I remember reading it handling sample rates up to 48k, not sure so I'd double check first.

hi there,
there is a problem with 88.2 KHz, that we forgot to fix for 1.7. It is the only sample rate to show this message. Having said that I wouldn't advise you t use Spark above 48Khz.

Why do everbody thinks that sample rates above 48 KHz or even above 44,1 KHz are in any way "better"??

Ok Thanks, if it's a know bug, i will stick with 44hz for now.
Thank you for your answer.

Spark emits blips blops and distorted mess when i use 48khz 24 bit settings on my Lexicon Alpha soundcard but is fine thru core audio 48khz 24 bit. Standalone and in Logic
Mac pro 10.6.8
Spark 1.7

By the way, Spark is capable of handling 192 hz samples. I know the samples cannot sound better in high resolution if they are recorded at low resolution but i have a couples of synths in my sessions who sounds better with antialiasing at higher resolutions .

Good morning
I am using SparLE 1.7, fire face 800 on Mac Pro and protools 10 or 11.
On PT11, I had problems with 88.2. It seems to accept only 88.0 : it does't work, so.
It works at 96K quite well (sometime it crashes on disk access with protools when it loads instrument but I don't know if it comes from overload with PT or from Spark)
Now, if you start at 44.1 with the spark standalone software, and if you change to 96K, the internal software of spark does't make well the translation of the samples and the sound is like listening a 44K sample at 96K.
You have to restart SparkLE with the config saved with the same sample rate definition between Fireface and Spark.
I hope it will help.

Hi,
this will be fixed on 1.7.1.
