Title: Just got a second hand Arturia Factory, few questions so
Post by: Obecny on August 30, 2013, 06:02:46 pm
Hi, Just got today delivery with a second hand Arturia Factory keyboard, it is old 2.0 version, first I did a factory settings reset and now decided to calibrate the aftertouch sensitivity but I have no original manual from 2.0 and only available now is the 2.5 it looks like the way to calibrate it has changed as it doesn't work with my keyboard, is there any other way to do it ?
also is there any firmware released and can be updated in the keyboard ?
If I buy a new 2.5 version of software is there a full compatibility with older keyboard or the update of firmware is included with new software?

thanks

See if the Unified Midi Control Center does what you want
http://www.arturia.com/evolution/en/downloads/updates.html#MCC

If not, then you'll have to download the User Manual (PDF) from
http://www.arturia.com/evolution/en/products/AFE/resources.html

And check the MIDI Implementation (usually last pages) where there's a SysEx sequence to change the aftertouch curve.

If can't find them on the Factory manual, try the Player's manual:
http://www.arturia.com/evolution/en/products/APE/resources.html

I remember one missing some useful info which I ended up finding on the other.

EDIT: ok, just checked, the MCC allows editing the Aftertouch, etc... curves.
The Factory manual has that info I referred to, on page 46, if the MCC wasn't able to do it, but it is.
