Hi,
i tried update for Spark machine 1.6. and 1.7. and now new latest update 1.7.1. on Windows7, 64b.
When I tried create my new personal project with existing samples from Arturia library, i have problem with saving.
Spark will immediately crash after loading empty project. I could work only 5 minutes and then If I add new samples to other pads, I have the crash. I must restart notebook and load again again...
Please what I do bad, because I tested in all new lates updates and the problem still again....
I tried as VST in AbletonLIve 8, or standalone machine and there was the same problem.
W7, 8GB RAM, i7.

can you give me some details about your setup?
What audio driver are you using (Windows Audio, ASIO..)?
What sample rate?
What is the audio buffer size?

I tested on windows audio internal soundcard on notebook HP Pavilion dv7 and also with M-Audio Firewire audiophile soundcard.
I start loading new kits into empty pads and without problems, but if I play about 5 minutes, I tried to load another samples from the spark bank (RndDrums, Berlin Electro etc.)
Then Spark program look that the changes accepts, but if you look into Studio and look into instrument sample, there is no change to another sample. The previously loaded sample is still there and you cannot save it, modify and nothing. After I click to save as or save it, Spark will crash and I must restart complete notebook :(
Strange is, that when I instal the first buy version of Spark (I think 1.5) the problems with loading into my empty project was not here. Only If I update to newest version to 1.6. and 1.7... to 1.7.1
I use the spark default setting with audio buffer and sample bitrage.
I put there my screenshot of my current settings:

Today I will test one another option, in previously version 1.5. I use the sample bank on another disk drive (no disk C where is stored installation of VST spark and standalone).
I try to use another disk drive, where I will copy the complete sample banks.

Hi Kevin, my testing of 1.7. is complete but without good results.
If I load empty project and load sample banks to this Spark will crash and I must restart again again... Itīs very boring, because I lost of my complete production. When you load sample, then Spark is no correspondent and I cannot save this.
Please could you help me?
thanks a lot, Iīm crazy with this, because I cannot use Spark drum machine controller and create onw project, but only play spark libraries :(

Downloded beta..Still crashes when loading your own samples but it takes a while.

Are you on mac or windows?

Yes Kevin, I finish testing Beta and I also the same problem with crashing loading samples.
I use windows 7, HP Pavilion dv7, 8GB RAM
:( :(
I remember that in verison 1.5. was not the new sample browser and this crashes was not here.
So is possible that the crashing of samples is with the new spark sample browser?

Hi,
it might be related to the new browser but not only.
We have also changed the way samples are loaded and played.
I will discuss this with Ben (our in house tester) and he will get back to you soon.

Hi every one !
You can try this :
- Uninstall spark
- go to C:\ProgramData\Arturia\Spark and delete all .prefs files
- make a new install with 1.7.2

I tested your help path but the problem is again. When I play pattern and try it to change to another sample from library or from my own sample, Spark will not correspond and I must restart Live 8.1. and Spark. You cannot save it, change and nothing :(
Iīm very confused because the older version of Spark (1.5) (I tested also again ) and there was no problems with new browser window and all of samples from banks can change easily and without crashing......
My results of testing new 1.7.2
New project - you can add new samples, editing, but after 3 minutes, Spark will freeze... and then you cannot do anything... (only restart)
Playing Spark project - it is oK, but if you try to change by browser your own samples or another samples from another bank, you have the same as previously point
I tested with my MIDI Spark machine (version 1.1.2) - when you try to use Jog Dial button, browser is open but then Spark also crashed.... :(
Please could you test again or release new updated version?

i have also noticed a bug which occurs frequently on v.1.7.2 when changing samples. seems to be the same problem as tjunger described it.
when i'm editing a pattern and change a sample, sometimes it happens that there is no sound on the specific pad. so i want to try another snare for example: i select the Pad, press "inst" and chose another SD. while i'm browsing through the sounds i keep playing the pad, to hear the sound. after browsing a while, suddenly the pad is empty. it lights up, when i press it, but there's no sound. when this happens it takes a few minutes and after that the system is shut down. when i save before this happens everything is fine. but when i save after the pad doesn't make a sound, everything is deleted the next time i load the pattern.
i had this problem a few times now, i'm not sure but i think i found out where it comes from: i believe that this happened everytime when i saved and pressed the "inst" button while the program is stil working on the saving process. it doesn't happen everytime but pretty often.

Hey guys just bought me a new Spark LE today and it was awesome untill i installed 1.7.1 on my mac (using Logic Pro X). With the new update (havent tried the beta yet) if I press either the big knob or any of those three buttons below , Proj. Kit or Instr. The software immediately crashes, Both the standalone and Logic Pro X. Not freezes just crashing instantly. I can play around with the already loaded drums and stuff but if I wanna load something else it dies ... Im gonna try install the beta since it seems more reliable. I let you guys know if it works..

Hi Kevin, I tested last update 1.7.5 Beta and the problem with crashing is still again and again.
Now I do not believe that you can repair it and I will returnto to older version 1.5. and 1.6. :'( :'(
I would like to use it but I donīt see other solution for this problem...
I use Spark drum machine controller v 1.1.2 (firmware) and there is another problem with the first connection to Ableton live.
When I turn on Spark and software in Ableton 8, software cannot recognize my midi controller and I must turn off and again turn on, then I can use application.
