Title: Sequencing via Gate in
Post by: slinky on December 12, 2013, 03:37:09 pm
I have a Boss Dr-110 drum machine sending a trigger out to the gate in of my Microbrute.  Is there a way to make trigger the notes of the sequencer.  As it is it just seems to trigger the last note played on the keyboard.  I used the software to change the sequencer to gate mode, but this did not seem to work.
Thanks!

you need to use Connection software. Set "Step On" option to Gate

With that option on, what happens now  if the LFO-Out to the Gate-In Connector on the Backside of the Microbrute? Would it be possible to control tempo of the sequence with LFO-Rate?

Hi jwein,
It seems to work great.
Rate can go 99% but if you put it at max the sequencer stops.

I set this up yesterday with my DR-55, and while it does sync, it does not sustain the sequenced note very long. Since the Gate In is in use, I cannot patch over from the Gate Out to correct. Please advise. I need the notes to be held for a very slow, droning sequence.

Can we get a firmware patch to enable longer release times globally (max release slider position = hold) like the hold switch on the back of the Mini, or is this a hardware limitation?
