Just wanted to update everyone. My MiniBrute still works.
Every knob does what it should. The sound continues to be supremely thick.
It sends and receives MIDI as expected.
It also stays in tune, with acceptable tracking over the entire range.
Also, my MiniBrute is not on fire, nor has it exploded.
It continues to provide hours of analog fun.
They say people never post to say that things are fine. Well, maybe they should!

mine holds notes here and there, the tuning has its good days and its bad days, and sometimes the headphone jack is crackly
still love it
but desperately need local on/off...which looks like it will never happen. a joke

My guess is that Local Off will be included in a firmware update that we will see within 2 weeks.
If it happens, you heard it here first.
If it does not happen, I was just kidding.

lol @ firmware update coming anytime soon...
-
I get another 8 days before I'm wrong...
:)

looks like you were just kidding :(

Just kidding.
(Damn, I was hoping the beta went out by now...)

haha. welcome to the world of waiting.
that's why it's so frustrating.
oh well...

Mine is still fully functional, and also is still my favorite synth I've ever used. (my Volca Bass is pretty cool, too, though :D )
Had some beautiful twiddling recently with it and a Strymon bluesky reverb.

Nice! The Strymon might be the best verb for synths available right now.
El Capistan is great too. (Short of an actual plate reverb unit or analog tape delay.)
