Editor parameters ... Are they midi cc based ?
I hope so !
Changing lfo retrigger , note priority , and legato would make this very usable in a live situation If not invaluable .
-
As in can these be changed via midi ...without a computer attached ?
If so (and I certainly hope so) would that be midi cc or sysex ?
-
Come on Arturia is this too big a secret to tell ? ::)
-
Knobs don't send midi, i believe

I believe the OP was referencing the software controlled parameters. I'm wondering this as well. I anticipate they ARE midi adjustable, as it would likely be easier to implement than a proprietary communication. I'm hoping I will be able to just hook up my iPad to access that sort of stuff using miditouch.

Yes the editor accessible stuff .
As having legato on/off , Note priority , Lfo re-trigger on/off would make it more useful for a Live synth .
-
The Editor's parameters (Velocity curve, Aftertouch curve, LFO Retrig on/off, Note Priority mode, Legato on/off, Arpeggiator Time Sorted on/off and AudioGate Threshold) are controlled via SysEx messages, but at this time, only via the USB port (MIDI over USB), not via the physical MIDI port.
Control via the MIDI port could be added later with a firmware update (via USB), but it is not yet scheduled.

I am hoping these parameters are made available as CC's ( reg old school non 14 bit / non NRPN 's) and accessible via midi din , in a not to distant firmware . I am navigating away from computer use for music , but even not taking in my more fringe case . these " features " make some functions of the minibrute kind of polarized and not as diverse for live use as well . Some patches need different note priority for proper interpretation of a part , and being able to switch between lfo retrigger on/off and env retrigger / legato .
Also if it's not to much to ask how about and LFO 1 shot more and slower med and fast range ?
Thanks .

I would like to step up and raise my hand for this one as well - you mentioned that it is not yet scheduled, but if you guys sit in a room and schedule Firmware Update options, please put that on the appropriate white board and vote favorably for it :)
(Then see if the team who built the fantastic iMini can create an invaluable app that extends the sequencer functionality of the minibrute, as well as give options to the other software settings ;) ;) ;))
-
Is the under the hood functions ever going to make it to midi cc and away from the box ?
Also I still think an lfo one shot mode would be invaluable ( also with a cc to activate ;)
-
Please add this!
It can't be sooo hard as it is already implemented on the Microbrute afaik.

Arturia didn't build the Minibrute so that that pots could be digitally controlled. So, you wont be able to get this in a firmware update. It would have been really nice if they built it in a way like Mg has done with the Minitaur. I would definitely suggested looking at Mg's VST control ideas for a future Arturia analog synth.

ummmmmmm......that's not what this thread is about.
i recommend rereading it carefully :-\

I just saw that there is a version 1.03 up. Is it what I think it is? ;D
By the version date in the download section is 15 May... is the next Arturia product a time machine? ;)
