Title: pattern midi controll

hi,

i was wondering if it is possible to midi map the patterns that SPARK all ready has with my vestax midi controller?
the learn faction does not work for some reason. i use the spark as a vst with ableton 8. any ideas? thanks!

I can control/change the patterns of the Spark VDM software (which is generally the same as the normal Spark software) via Maschine in MIDI mode within a pattern bank, but I can't change the bank itself via MIDI.

Is that your problem?

i wish to play for example: A1 pattern from my controller but the midi learn function doesn t work. thats my prob.

Hi,
what do you mean by "MIDI learn does not work"?
What are you doing exactly, hat are you expecting and what are you getting?
Do you have an error message?

i d like to connect for example the a1 pattern button
with my vestax midi controller. i press the ctrl at my keyboard and the
pattern button, and a "midi learn" box opens, and then
nothing happens. the spark does not recognize my controller i think. no error messages.
any help? sorry for my bad english

You have to press the learn button after the popup appears.

If you are in standalone mode, you have to choose your controller as MIDI input in Spark Audio MIDI Setup.

i am in vst mode.

when i press the learn button, everything works fine. i can control the patterns with my pc keyboard BUT when i connect my midi controller spark does not recognizes neither my controller nor my pc keyboard. i m i missing something?

Then you have to check if your Vestax is configured to work in track mode in Ableton.
