Title: PSU lasted 30 minutes!
Post by: BobTheDog on October 27, 2012, 02:35:03 pm
Well eventually got my minibrute today but after 30 minutes there was a pop and it died :(

I tested the output of the PSU with a multimeter and there was none, so I tested the fuse and it had blown.

After replacing the fuse the PSU is still dead.

I have tested the Minibrute with another 12V PSU I have and thankfully it still lives but I was worried for a while.

Maybe Arturia should source more reliable supplies!

no problem if it's a transformer Voltage Switching 12V DC 1A

Ok first time I get such a fault report, if it's still 1 over several thousands, we won't get much better. This power supply has been intensively tested and I never found any issue. I think is pretty good quality.
Anyway, thanks for the feedback, and sorry for the disappointment.

If you open a case at the support desk and MP me the tick number, we may send you a replacement PSU.

Regarding the usage of an other PSU, it should be no problem.
specifications are: 12V DC, 1A minimum, and CENTER POSITIVE (the logo showing + and - positions, should match with the one on Mini>Brute's back panel)
