Any chance of Arturia supporting SAWStudio (and possibly SAC as well)? Free demos are on the site. Also, Bob Lentini is an extremely talented and supportive developer.

Thanks in advance...best regards,

Hopefully this will help Arturia resolve the issue(s)...I really would like to use Spark within my DAW (SAWStudio) environment.
Thanks again,
Mike
-
Can you explain me how to load Spark in these DAW?
I will try to reproduce the issue.
-
Sure, Kevin. Thanks for replying! :)
I am running Windows 7 Ultimate with Service Pack 1. Since SAWStudio and SAC must run (and thus have been installed) in Windows XP SP 2 Compatibility mode, I have since uninstalled and reinstalled Spark 1.5 in the same mode. I continue to experience the same crash issue.
In SAWStudio:
- If the FX Choices are not visible, then (menu) select View | FX | FX Choices.
- Scroll down to {VST} Spark and highlight it.
- If the FX Pre Patches are not visible, then (menu) select View | FX | FX Pre Patches.
- In the FX Pre Patches window, click the Add button; Spark will open.
- Click the Play button; SAWStudio will crash >:( [dump follows].

Although I can run the stand-alone version (Spark.exe) without issue, the Spark MIDI Control Center crashes. >:(
(I can send a crash dump, if need be.)
Thanks for your assistance! :)

Hi,
I have no VST listed in FX Choices
-
I know why, Kevin....
Please copy or move Spark.dll from the C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VstPlugins folder (or wherever it was installed) to the C:\SAWStudio\VST_PlugIns folder...also to the C:\SAC\VST_PlugIns folder if you're testing SAC as well.
Sorry...4got that li'l detail. :o
Mike
-
Kevin, since you're most likely using the demo versions of SAWStudio and SAC to test Spark, the two folders I just mentioned might actually be:
C:\SAWStudioDemo\VST_PlugIns
and
C:\SACDemo\VST_PlugIns
Thanks again,
Mike

Ok I managed to load Spark but seems that have no audio.
I choosed my soundcard in "Options->Audio Device Setup->Stereo Device Out 01" but nothing happens.
Any idea?
-
Kevin, how were you able to load Spark into SAWStudio? I was able to do so by loading it within Xlutop Chainer, which acted as a wrapper for the Spark.dll. However, I, too, could not get any audio. Neither the standard Windows audio driver nor the ASIO driver made a difference.
If you contact Bob Lentini directly -- BobL@rmllabs.com -- and/or post on the SAWStudio User Group --
http://www.sawstudiouser.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16098 (http://www.sawstudiouser.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16098) -- we will arrive at a solution in a much more timely manner.
Thanks so much...most appreciated! :)

Kevin and Toby -
The issue still persists with v1.6.1 (as well as 1.6.1.1 RC1 and RC2). Hopefully we can resolve it in 1.7. I have provided detailed instructions to test in both SAWStudio and SAC (in a prior email to Toby, who has acknowledged receipt of same).
I'll be happy to beta test 1.7. :)
Thanks and regards,
Mike
