Title: how do i track microbrute midi info into protools?

i have no problem tracking the midi notes into logic x, but i cannot get protools 11 to see the midi info. i am trying to record the midi notes as well as the audio out, or even try to use the microbrute as a midi controller.

I am on an 2014 iMac i7 mavericks. I have a midi track setup with "microbrute out" all channels set as the input, but it does not record any midi info. I have tried the "microbrute midi interface out" all channels as the input as well, but still nothing. Do I have to  setup this in the peripherals? if so what are the settings? please help.
