Title: V-collection window resizing question?
Post by: razo on July 31, 2014, 11:29:36 am
Hi, I am using V-collection v.2.5 on OSX10.7. Is it possible to resize the plug-in windows when using Ableton with later versions of V-collection?  The windows are so small on my 27" iMac so this alone might be woth the upgrade.

Thanks

Hi razo,

Unfortunately the resize feature isn't available in the V collection 3 (except for Analog Lab).

Best,

J

Razo, I don't know if this will help you, but my first concern with the V-synths was how tiny the windows were on my 27" iMac.  By reading through archived forums, I found a cure:  use the accessibility preferences to employ keyboard zoom, which zooms in the entire desktop, including the V-synth window.  Doesn't work that well, but it's way better than trying to work with those tiny V-synth windows.

Anyone know if this has been addressed in the V4 release.....?

Yes, I could use the control+mouse wheel to zoom (or just put the screen really close to my head :-), but its not the ideal solution. I am still on v2.5 for this reason.

( Another reason is I am not upgrading is that I always have to bring the eLicenser with me when I am switching from my home to my studio machine (easily forgotten and then I am stuck).. unlike all the other plugins i am using)

I was hoping that version 4 will bring some improvement regarding screen scaling, but it doesn't. I am using OSX zoom which is more like a magnifier and screens become blurred.

I have big trouble understanding why bigger synth (Mg Modular, ARP 2600, Yamaha CS80) still need to be scrolled after all this years. Is screen scaling such a big challenge for Arturia programmers? Beyond me!
