MIDI Learn does not work on everything in Pro Tools
« on: November 19, 2012, 08:00:55 am »
Hi,
Just purchased the Analogue Experience : The Laboratory with 61 keyboard controller..
Build quality is great! keys feel great!

Midi control in Protools seems to be working on some knobs/faders and not others..

this is ridiculous, the software has amazing sounds really great, but the companion keyboard software seems to be speaking another language?!

ive spent hours trying to midi learn, and it works with some faders and some knobs and not with the rest, and the knobs seem to be already doing something else in protools like arming a track? not even the transport works correctly.. there are knobs controlling things they are not suppose to..

i dont have any other idea of how to fix this as the manual though pretty thick is useless in this regard..

can anyone assist please?

why doest Arturia have pre-loaded DAW mappings for each daw for the hardware? i cannot see that being a challenge!
would it not be easier to just choose the daw you are using when setting up an install so when you instantiate the software on a instrument track it just works?!

problems:
knobs not all working in midi control
faders not all working in midi control
transport is NOT working in daw
preset button seems to arm a track?!

installed update of laboratory 1.5.2
and midi control centre update..

why doesn't the manual explain things clearly [arturia]?

is there a way to fix this?
googling it seems to bring nothing up..
