Just Bought it..
« on: December 10, 2005, 04:49:22 am »
OK. I am now a user of two Arturia products. When I heard Arturia had decided to make the ARP 2600 I was sure I would be one of the first in line to buy it, but that didn't happen. Rumors of this little company called Way Out Ware were circulating and I thought I'd wait. Why did I choose Arturia? I think their product is more forward thinking. It included the 1601 sequencer, tracking generator and other goodies that Way Out Ware didn't offer. But... Way Out Ware clearly has a more authentic emulation. And that's not just my opinion, read the reviews. So again, why did I go with Arturia? Another reason I chose Arturia was their excellent effort to improve the MiniMgV and the CS80V. I was impressed that they obviously listened to criticism and responded with updates that addressed the issues users had directly and precisely. I expect the same to happen with the 2600V.

Exactly why I chose it, bud.  Forward thinking...you hit the nail on the head.

....still waiting on improvements to the sound, though :(.

much disappointed too :(
I believed they would improve it, as they did for the miniMgV,
but they seem even don't correct bugs.
We are still in 1.0 since the product was released, hope they won't
release a 1.1 just for mac intel and cubase 4, without correct anything,
but maybe I'm dreaming.

Some bugs make ARP2600V crash, when it's used at 96KHz.
At 44,1 or 48 seems more steady.
And it's not because of too much CPU overload.

What problems are you having? I'm using the 2600V with a PC, JL Cooper 3800 controler and MCS3 for video work in Tucson as well as for personal music production. endedup
