soundclip sounds fine in my opinion  :)

maybe if you had the sub o/c at 100% it was just saturating, as the other sliders are designed to do at >50%

Plugging Pitch Out to Filter CV in is "useless," but does it provide a more reliable resonance-based sine wave? It's pretty much impossible to dial in an in-tune resonance tone with the keyboard tracking knob, but since the Pitch Out is calibrated, this makes me curious...

No it won't help having a better tracking, the problem is not from the input CV, but from the filter's exponential converter accuracy.
