ASIO Settings on standalone SEM V not accepted
« on: October 15, 2012, 03:09:00 pm »
I try it in this forum. Arturia Support does not answer anymore!

Soundcard is IF-FW/DMMKII. Using the ASIO driver with latency settings 512 samples. The board works well with other synths. They all read the settings from IF-FW/DMMKII.

These settings do not correspond to the settings in SEM V.
SEM V shows 2048 samples on start. Manually changing the latency to 512 samples or any other size in AUDIO/MIDI Menu will not be recognised. The synth crashes by doing this.
On start SEM V standalone sets the latency of the soundcard to 2048 samples. I don't want this configuration.

The VSTi works well in Cubase or Nuendo.

Any help wouöd be nice. The only answer from arturia was: use asio4all. BAD!

Hi

Sadly, i think there is no other solution. This seems to happen with very few audio interfaces, but it happens sometime.
The best is always to use a proper host if you want good sound card compatibility and low latency.

Hi,

the firecard from tascam is a proper and professional audio interface and works well with vsti from all other vendors. Why not from Arturia?
Actually, under this circumstances the arturia instrument is not usable. It crashes continously. Nuendo or cubase's sem-implementation gives errors too but - at least-the plugin starts here with the right latency settings.
When will it be fixed? It it impossible, to play a song at all. I'd like to play around with this...

Can I give it back? My system fulfilled all conditions (requirements) but I cannot use it.

Regards

I have issues with the Sem V in the Analog Laboratory. My system meets (actually exceeds) the requirements and for some reason ASIO seems to 'fart-out' too much for me to use that synth in the Lab. It's a shame too because I like a lot of those sounds.
