The big issue for me is with the encoders usuage within Abelton, and yes I have tried changing modes and the knobs when you turn them to change say the mixer volume levels for example, either goes from 0 to max instantly or doesnt move at all, taking several rotations before moving, way too unreliable, yes its ok in standalone mode, but awful within Ableton, when using as a general midi controller..

Would anyone here be willing to make a youtube video to show them how bad minilab runs on the windows side and mac.  Ableton 8/9 is really unstable with the Analog Lab plugin.

Hi Adrien,

First of all, thank you for replying and taking the time to look into this matter. On the other hand, there are plenty of examples from people on this very forum  explaining the many problems that many of us are experiencing, they just need to be read. But no worries! Here is a list of them:

These are few of the problems that users have been having. Over 1800 people have read these threads, perhaps an indication that these issues need to be addressed?

I do love this keyboard because it has great potential but it needs a lot of help from the many issues it faces.

I so want Arturia to fix the problems. Until they do, I wont use it, and actually embarrassed to use it, as its just so unreliable. As i said before I will steer clear of future Arturia products hardware and software. My next purchase probably Novation Basstation 2 or Ableton Push..

To be quite honest goon I cannot use the damn thing even if I wanted to.  If I trigger any of the functions in Analog lab within ableton, it's say good bye to whatever you were working on.  Not to mention how unresponsive the encoders become or completely go insane (like they have a will of their own)  or stop working all together.  I literally have to restart the computer to get the minilab to work again.  Solo and vst form.  I've rarely ever had Live 8 crash until I introduced the minilab into ableton.  Just pressing the keys on my minilab causes it to crash at random segments consistently, not to mention my 8-core 16GB w/ Audio interface not being able to handle the ridiculous CPU spikes.  It's just something I cannot wrap my head around.  I personally think that people couldn't even do demos of the unit cause of the crashing.  I am guessing this is why I barely see anyone reviewing the unit on youtube.

I dont have the crashing issue, maybe thats because I dont use it because of the encoders issue that we have. Drives me insane. No youtube demos because no-one can use the damn thing properly.....

Forgive me kick wizard for my ignorance, Im relatively new to this script stuff, so have you replace the arturia script with your own?
how are you making saving own script.
How does it work in other Vst plugins and Ableton?

Kickwizard thanks for the info.  I would rather just have arturia fix this.  I have tried something similar to this and no success period. I believe posting some minor scripting would make them think that now they have a slack time or give them the idea that they don't need to look into this anymore.  I just don't want this to be the case.  Arturia you have a big software/hardware problem on your hands.  Please fix it.   Buy some new Windows 7 32-bit/64-bit and 8 32-bit/64-bit machines to test, test, test.  Buy GIGABYTE boards and ASUS boards with Intel and AMD combinations (CUSTOM PC's).  In simple terms, buy some hardware that a majority of people use.  Don't limit yourself to macs.  I can even bet you have more macs in your facility and no more than two or three windows machines.  Which are most likely identical for programming purposes.

Please submit this suggestion Adrien.

If Kickwizard has a script or can tell me how to do it, or send me his script and lets us know how we can use it, etc I would try it...

Its quite obvious Arturia have had our money and thats all they interested in...

A step-by-step instruction would be good kick.

1.  Do this.

2.  Do that.

etc.

This is exactly what everyone has been talking about the whole time.  Thanks so much for posting this video sed.  Arturia, please understand it's both windows and mac that suffer with this issue.

Hi,

I bought the MiniLab yesterday, and played with it in Ableton. The current provided "UserConfiguration.txt" script doesn't work correctly in my situation, so i've edited and played with it for a while.

My solution

I've attached my "UserConfiguration.txt", maybe it will help in your situation.
Please note; Set the device on "Absolute" mode (Shift + 1) and check if your encoders are all in "Absolute" mode (with the MIDI Control Center)

Changes I did in the "UserConfiguration.txt":
EncoderMapMode, VolumeMapMode and SendsMapMode to Absolute14Bit
Set all VolumeSliders to -1

I've also uploaded it to dropbox:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1110301/UserConfiguration.txt

I'm using a Mac with Ableton Live 9.1

I had a major issue with one minibrute and one minilab.  I gave up and bought a Novation Bass Station 2.  They don't care and have given up from what it seems like.  I don't think anything will be resolved mach1.  The issue has existed from day one.  If you can return yours man do it.  I couldn't and was forced to keep it.  The bass station 2 I bought is very programmable via midi.  The knobs can be all programmed.  It's worth it just to save up. 3 OSC I really can't complain.
