Stuck during firmware upgrade
« on: November 23, 2013, 02:01:20 pm »
I unpacked my Microbrute yesterday and played around with it, and it is fantastic. I hooked it up to my Mac today to upgrade the firmware and change some sequencer settings.

When I hooked it up with USB and started the MicroBrute Connection application it started downloading the firmware, some leds started flashing for a while on the synth and then it stuck on 67% and has been like that for 30 minutes or so.

Does anyone have any ideas what to do? Is it safe to reboot/retry?

Ok.. So, I rebooted the synth after being stuck for two hours. It did not boot properly, all LEDs were dim and it did not make any sound. By a whim I rebooted it once again, this time holding down both octave buttons which seemed to reset it, and the application found the synth again and could apply the new firmware.
