sparkle issues

i bought a new spark le yesterday , i went on to u.tube and watched this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=36c45l7Luio
i have done everything in this video  {using the same track in the video ultimate tech house}
but on my spark le
i place where i want the kick 1-5-9-13
when i hit play , it only plays the kick once , but with a sybol sound added to it
can anyone put me right in what is going wrong i have spent hrs trying to get my head around what might be the issue , so any help will be very much app

I guess my first question would be, did you erase the original patterns that are part of the Ultimate Tech House project?  Either by starting a New Project and using the Ultimate Tech House as a Kit or by opening Ultimate Tech House and then erasing each bank of patterns?

What cymbal sound are you getting?  An Open Hi-Hat or a Crash or...?  In the Ultimate Tech House project Pad 1 is a Bass Drum and Pad 9 is an Open Hi-Hat.  Perhaps you have the 1-8/9-16 button set to 9-16?

no i havent erased any parts
 i have tried it with lots  of the patterns
ill do a little video and add it later .

From what I watched of that tutorial video, it seems you should probably start off with a blank pattern first -- so just erase all the banks first.

It looks like you have something in a layer of your instrument.
Always keep in mind that you have the possibility to add 6 layer on each instrument.
You have access to those layers in the center of the studio view.
