The MIDI channel always displays 1. Clicking on it launches the MIDI Setup screen, which has no way of changing the channel. The instrument is always in OMNI mode, so it responds to messages on all MIDI channels. This is the same in VST and standalone.
I thought this version was supposed to allow setting different instrument to different MIDI channels so you don't need to run multiple instances to sequence more than one instrument.
