V2.5 update and Multi Midi-input
« on: December 24, 2011, 08:45:13 am »
Hello,

My system is Intel i5, Win7 64 bit.

the standalone versions of the Arturia plugins have the possibility to choose one or more Midi-Inputs, depending on the connected Midi-sources.

Yesterday I installed the V2.5 updates of MiniMg, CS80, and prophet;
also the V2.6 of Mg modular.

All new 64bit Synths from the V2.5/2.6 Collection do that job in Stand-alone:
I can select 2 or even more of my 5 connected inputs and the are all playable.
Not so in miniMg V2.5:
Only the last (of more than one) choosen Inputs is activ ... !

I seems to be a bug. The same problem is in the old Jupter V2 and in the ARp2600.

I tested my other standalone-plugins;
result:

Arturia Factory V2.5:            works
Arturia Laboratory V1.31:      works
MgModular V 2.6:              works
CS80 V 2.5:                         works
Prophet V2.5                      works

MiniMg V2.5                    does not work
Jupiter V2:                         does not work
Arp2600 V2:                       does not work

other stand alones:
Modart Pianoteq V 3.6.5       works
Halion Sonic V 2.1.2             works
NI Bandstand V 1.03            works
NI Kontakt4                        works
EastWest play 2.1.2             works

Does anybody have the same problem with miniMg V2.5?

Bernd

MiniMg V2.5                    does not work
Jupiter V2:                         does not work
Arp2600 V2:                       does not work

Yes, I confirm this.

Standalone Arp2600 V2 I would expect it to work just with 1 controller, since the Midi in option is a drop down menu with unique choice, so it's just a missing feature, not a bug. I'm sure the next version of this will have it fixed, just like the latest updates of the existing synths.

MiniMg V2.5 and Jupiter V2 on the other hand do have multiple choice available but don't work as one would expect, so that I would consider a bug or a badly implemented feature. We can only hope that a fix can happen for the MiniMg V2.5 and that the expected upgrade of Jupiter V2 (2.5 maybe?) will also have that correctly implemented.

Hi Koshdukai,

ok, I am not the only user with that Problem ... .

I asked Arturia via Support-Case 102996 on 24th of Dezember 2011 what they say.

Now is 1 Month and 1 day later.
No answer.

Thats my first support-case with Arturia.
I think, also the last ... .
Will never buy anything from that firm.

This sounds similar to a problem I had a couple of months ago after updating.  What I did then was select a different midi input then I normally used, applied the change then shut the program down.  I restarted the program and then was able make the proper midi input assignments.  It had acted like something in it's configuration file got locked and by making my change it unlocked it.

I haven't done the latest updates...perhaps later I will and see what happens.

MiniMg V2.5.1 and Arp2600 V2.5.1 have fixed this multi-controller issue.

We just have to wait for Jupiter 8V2.5 :)
