Upgrade for V Collection v1 owners?
« on: January 24, 2012, 05:27:05 pm »
I'm curious if there's upgrade pricing for Vintage Collection version 1 owners to move to V2?

Thanks!

At first glance, no cost.
Make sure your synths are correctly registered under your account, then click the "Get Free Update".
You will then be pointed to:
_ the latest downloadable versions
_ the eLicenser activation codes needed to download the adequate licenses

Wow, this would be great!  Thanks!

Everything is registered correctly and the license files have been downloaded to the same USB e-licenser as Cubase.

I don't see "Get Free Update" anywhere though.  Could this have something to do with how my products were registered individually and not as a bundle?

If all your licenses are stored on the USB-eLicenser, and all synths upgraded to the latest versions, I presume there is no problem anymore. :)

Not quite  ;D

My original four synths are on the e-licenser, but both Jupiter 8V and Prophet V are not on the e-licenser.  I can't see where to get the codes for those as there is no update link in my control panel.

Tech Support asked me to contact sales@arturia.com, so I just sent them an e-mail :)

I believe there's been a misunderstanding here.

Upgrading from V-Collection (6 instruments, with ProphetV and Jupiter-8V licenses on a USB-eLicenser dongle) to the latest V2 (or V2.5) versions of the included synths is free.

However, if you own the original Vintage Pack (only containing CDs for MiniMgV, Mg Modular V, CS-80V and ARP2600V), you can only update those 4 synths to their latest version (2.5/2.6) for free, but this does not qualify for free versions of Jupiter-8V and ProphetV (since you do not own a license for these two). There was a paid upgrade offer for that!

I'm happy to pay an upgrade fee, I just want to know how!  Paying over $400 for the two new synths seems a little counterproductive when I already own 4/6, and I don't want to have to try and sell the other four just to make up the difference.

I just heard back from Sales, and there is a "hidden" upgrade page on the shop for this:

Thanks, Arturia - I just upgraded!
