How to de-register the analog lab software.
« on: May 07, 2012, 10:44:02 am »
I know i have the remove the registration from my elicenser. Thats easy.
But since i'm returning it to the store ( because the keyboard (61 keys version) is so full of bugs) i have to deregister completely so they can take it back. What more steps do i need to take?

I'm in the same boat. Please let me know if you make any progress.

Seriously fucked up for a company to sell such a broken product in a way that essentially forbids you from returning it..

To unregister your software, you have to log in to Your Account and delete the registration by clicking on the "Delete" button in the "My Registered Products" section.

Here is a general info by Shawn about refunds:

Will deleting the license allow it to be re-registered under a different name? Will the hybrid madness deal be re-activated? If I'm reading the Arturia support response correctly, it looks like the answer to both of those is no.

Best regards,

I tried that but it does not seem to work. And i can't remove it from the dongle either. The delete option is grayed out when i try.

I don't need refund. The store gave me a full refund. If there is a bug in the system that prevents me from deregistering it's not my problem but Arturias.

Actually, during the Hybrid Madness offer period, you cannot remove the registration from your account yourself.
You have to request from Arturia to transfer it to the new owner (if you are reselling it), together with the free software (again, the free software instruments are linked to the master serial number and you are not allowed to un-bundle them).
The only way to return/resell software that has already been activated is to transfer (not delete) the licenses to a new USB-eLicenser (Steinberg Key) and include that dongle with the keyboard.
New Hybrid Madness licenses will NOT be be issued for the same master serial.

@Kim, if the store gave you a full refund without requesting the licenses back as specified, it is their mistake. But you could do the right thing by transferring the Analog Laboratory license to a Steinberg key for them to be able to resell the full package.
(no issue with free instruments, since you had registered it before the Hybrid Madness promotion)

I've tried to do the right thing, that's why i'm asking. But i should NOT have to go through great lenghts to do it. I have the license on a syncrosoft key that i had previous to buying Analog Lab. So the key that was delivered back to the store is untouched. Trouble is when i try to remove the license from my key the option is greyed out. And despite trying 5 times to deregister it from my account here on Arturia.com it doesn't happen. So if the system wont play along, i wont either!!!
