Saving a preset doesn't save connections

When I save a preset, the connections aren't saved with it, only the knob positions. Can I be doing something wrong? Any ideas?

Addition: I've tried saving presets in both the stand-alone and the plugin version.

does this effect the sound? I was once wondering about the same issue, before I just found out that the connections I made weren't effecting the sound of the preset at all.

I'm pretty much a newbie when it comes to synth sound tweaking and I guess that I just made connections I thought they would effect the sound, but in fact they just didn't.

The connections in question are different from the default connections so they should be saved with the preset.
