Putting rests into microbrute sequences...not entire songs!
« on: April 10, 2014, 10:18:39 pm »
With my microbrute synced via gate out to the sync in on a volca beats, everything works fine....except, when recording a pattern on the sequencer, when the rest key is pressed, it also puts a rest note in the volca beats drum sequence. This seems to completely defeat the purpose of inputting rests for syncopated patterns, if the drums (IE the whole track) pauses with the microbrute... Any ideas/solutions?

This is because on the microbrute you have gate in/out, whereas the Volcas do NOT have gate in/out, but rather SYNC. One workaround would be to drive the microbrute from the Beats. SYNC out to microbrute's Gate In (note that you need to make an adjustment in the connection software - change the step on from CLK to GATE).
