How to bounce external audio FX
« on: April 25, 2014, 09:59:16 am »
Hi,

I would like to use the FX of the MM/MiniMg/ARP2600 on external audio. But this doesn´t actually work when I want to bounce the track (Cubase 7.5 on PC): the track gets exported, not the FX.

Does anyone know how (if at all possible) this can be done?

Kind regards,

Charles

Unless I misunderstand you would need to record the audio to an audio track first and use the plugin as an insert or send. Live input isn't included in a Cubase Audio Export.

If you are using an audio track, when you export from Cubase are you selecting just the audio track? If you do this, only the insert FX will be included, not any send FX. You would have to solo the channel you want to Mixdown and choose the Master Buss as the export channel. You need to bypass any inserts you are using on the master channel too, otherwise they will be recorded and then applied again on the bounced track :)

Hope this helps.
