FYI, there is a way to work With Spark CDM and BeatStep...
==> http://downloads.arturia.com/downloads/support/howto/pdf/BeatStep/%5bBeatStep%5d_and_Spark_1.pdf

 :)

We are working on the New Spark 2 Script
This shows Spark as the Master, but you can also set it as slave - let Beatstep provide the clock....

Ah, I only use Spark as a plugin... I haven't tried it - I just assumed it was possible, because I see a drop down menu with the Master option. Slave would be nice for people that don't have any Spark controller - that way they can hardware-control the tempo from beatstep. (probably also possible with a CC?)

Yes, we are all stupid children here. So go find yourself a grown up forum where you're welcome (good luck with that).

@crikeekee: anything specific I can help you with?

Come on, I ask stupid questions, you troll, we play little games... dont be pissed, it's allright, it's a forum and you remember me how forums work

Now, tell me about beatstep and spark2 please
I don't play games. I just had to check if it was a legitimate question, or if you're just making a statement about Beatstep not being polyphonic, again. (and thus me wasting my time) And I had/have reason for doubt, since your question is so "general". What exactly do you want to do? Standalone or in a DAW? Which DAW? Sequencer or Ctrl mode or both? To get help you should at least provide this minimum of information.

Just tell me about you

So basically, I need the SparkLE controller to get the polyphony and the 64 step sequencer? Are there going to be BeatStep firmware updates and MIDI implementation charts to address these issues? The BeatStep does have it pluses: it can work as a standalone (no computer required) and has CV/Gate output should I encounter modules that use them. I am trying the demo version of the Spark2, and love the vintage drum sounds.

Still, the layout of the Spark2 program is similar to the BeatStep's 2x8 pad layout.
