I have been using my Microbrute for a couple of months and I was loving it.

Today I decided to try to use the Connection software with it.

Read the PDF's and followed the instructions to update the firmware. Used my laptop that is not my studio computer so that there would be no other MIDI devices/software and nothing else connected to the USB except the MicroBrute.

Now the Microbrute is behaving very oddly.

Filter cutoff behaves in a completely bizarre and erratic fashion. Moving it while playing notes results in random noises and no actual filter cut-off function.

I have no volume control, it is either full on at the end of the volume knob travel or off. The volume knob is only working in the last ten percent of it's range and it is not controlling the volume,

It seems to be stepping randomly through different cutoff frequencies as you turn the volume knob all the way off and then all the way up again.

If you repeatedly hit a note on the keyboard you get random filter settings that vary with each hit.

Can anyone help?

I want my Microbrute back!

Tried to re-install the firmware following this advice and the result is the same.

Technical support contacted me with the instructions to try the same thing as I found in the above post. Same results.

I now have a completely useless synthesizer.

Just great.

Did the forced update technique one more time. Turned the synth off for a while. Turned it back on and everything seems to have finally have returned to normal.

What a relief!

Only had my Microbrute for 1 fr!ckin' day.
Had some fun on it yesterday and tried a firmware update today.
Now I have no sound.
Tried the fixes listed here with no luck.

Did you ever get this resolved?  If so how?  I have the exact same problem... have no idea what to do.
