Bug when turned on
« on: July 20, 2014, 10:23:30 pm »
Hi everyone, everything was fine until today, when I turn my beatstep, pad one keeps blinking red. Besides I can't turn off store, recall nor shit buttons. I tried doing the upgrade but it looks like the unit is now faulty. Has it happened to anyone else?

Hi keat27,

Could you try the following procedure please:

1) Unplug your Beatstep and launch the Midi Control Center
2) Press and hold the 'Play' and 'Stop' button of your Beatstep
3) Plug the Beatstep while holding the buttons
4) You're now in firmware upgrade mode; in the MCC, click on the button next to Firmware Revision
5) A pop up should appear, informing you the MCC "could not get firmware revision" > click on Upgrade and select the Beatstep.led file
6) A new pop up should appear ('Enter Firmware Upgrade Mode') asking you to unplug/plug the device to proceed the firmware upgrade; do not take this instruction in consideration, let your Beatstep plugged and click on OK.
7)The firmware upgrade should start.

Let me know if still any issues.

Best regards,

Jerome
