KeyLab is not Recognized by my MAC

Symptom

1/ Plug the keyboard alone (without any other MIDI device)

2/ Switch to update Mode

  • Press : SOUND + EDIT + MULTI at the same time then reboot.
  • Press these keys between 5 to 10 seconds to make sure.
  • "UPDATE" message is showing

3/ Check the name of the port in AUDIO MIDI SETUP

  • Open Audio MIDI setup
  • Select window
  • Show MIDI window

4/ You see "USB MIDI Device" in the Panel


Solution

1/ Stop the Keyboard
2/ Select "USB MIDI Device" in the Panel
3/ Supress this device
4/ reboot the Keyboard in Update mode

  • Press : SOUND + EDIT + MULTI at the same time then reboot.
  • Press these keys between 5 to 10 seconds to make sure.
  • "UPDATE" message is showing

5/ You will show the " Keybed61" this time instead of the "USB MIDI Device"


IMPORTANT

If your default MAC Language is NOT English, you'll need to rename this port, so inside Audio MIDI Setup:

1/ Stop the Keyboard
2/ Click on Show Info
3/ Under Device Name field replace the name by this:
==> "USB MIDI Device"
4/ Click Apply (the Name of the port is changed)
5/ Stay selected on this device and click on "Remove Device"
6/ reboot the Keyboard in Update mode

  • Press : SOUND + EDIT + MULTI at the same time then reboot.
  • Press these keys between 5 to 10 seconds to make sure.
  • "UPDATE" message is showing

7/ You will show the " Keybed61" this time instead of the "USB MIDI Device"
