There can be only one. We model it like no other.
Timeless and iconic, the sound of the Mini works in every style of music — and there’s no better way to honor it than with our True Analog Emulation®. Even the best samples simply don’t duplicate the wow factor of vintage analog circuit behavior, turning pure voltage into sound. Mini V was developed in partnership with the creators of the original, for a magical musical experience that’s as sought-after now as it was when it first landed in the ‘70s.

Mini Size, Maximum Sound
From classic prog and funk to mainstream pop to hip-hop to electronica, everyone fell in love with the Mini.
Once upon a time, if you didn’t happen to be a rock star, recording studio, or university music department, the synthesizer was a sky-high, sci-fi dream. The Mini put the essentials of wall-filling modular synths into a package everyday musicians could afford and take to the gig. The rest is literally history.
The Mini was not the first synthesizer, but it was definitely the one that got most people’s attention. The founder of the company that made it — whose name is synonymous with synths — had already seen his modular systems succeed and even cross into popular musical culture thanks to musicians like Wendy Carlos and Keith Emerson. Towards the late 1960s, though, demand for a truly portable and user-friendly way to get that soaring sound was building and sales of the large and expensive modulars were slowing.

Classic controls, thoughtfully enhanced
The original Mini featured a no-nonsense layout that yielded instant sonic gratification. Mini V starts there, then performs some just-right new tricks.
Its sound ranges from creamy to downright bossy, serving up leads, basses, pads, brass, strings, and special FX with gusto. Our additions give it a big boost while staying entirely within the spirit of the original.
