Pure Analog

The MicroBrute SE is new but carries the award-winning heritage of its big brother, the MiniBrute.

The MicroBrute SE was designed to be small but still retain an amazing sound quality. With a 100% pure analog voice path and advanced interconnectability via MIDI, USB, CV/ GATE, this machine is a true powerhouse synthesizer that takes your sound to a new level.

Hands-On Heaven

If you’re new to synths, you’re looking at one of the easiest to use and most unique-sounding synthesizers we think money can buy. And if you’re a synth veteran, we think it won’t have escaped your attention that MicroBrute SE is also a seriously capable semi-modular sequence-able beast. Wait till you hear how it sounds.

No presets, no menus, nothing to get between you and the ability to sculpt your sound live.

Not only does MicroBrute SE give you the means to create, perform and be completely original every time you power up, it does it with astounding sound quality.

"A modern analogue single oscillator, multi-waveform monosynth that avoids just being a retro clone."
Future Music
"With the MicroBrute, Arturia has a winner, and along with a few other gear manufacturers, they seem to have tacitly acknowledged that we have come back to "days of future past" in search of the visceral thrill of "real" control over a wild and untamed sonic palette."
Tape Op
"The MicroBrute - with its own characteristic sound - is one of our favorites."
Estrada i studio/Poland
"If you’re an analog head, the Arturia MicroBrute is definitely the way to go."
Keyboard US
"The sound is anything but “pretty” compared to other contemporary analog synths, but that aggressive character is what makes it essential to my sounds. This synth is meaty and macho like nothing else. If you don’t already own a ’Brute, it’s clear that you will. At this price, practically everyone will."

"Is love too strong a word to use for an inanimate object? Perhaps. But I really clicked with the MicroBrute. It has real character, plenty of sonic scope , even as only a single Osc mono with its limitations, and the patching and interfacing is really brilliant"

Brutal Potential

Process audio. Sequence analog gear. Give your modular a new LFO and Envelope Generator. Hook up to your DAW and make whole tracks. Hook up to your Drumtracks, open your door, and play a whole gig.

Tiny in size, tiny in price, huge in sound, and vast in potential. We’ve had so much fun with MicroBrute SE: Now it’s your turn.

Details

A synthesizer is a musical instrument that is meant to be played.

However, playing a synthesizer is more than just playing some notes on a keyboard and recalling someone else’s presets. If that was the goal you could be looking at accordions or going to a department store to buy your keyboard (along with socks, milk and toilet paper)…but you aren’t, because you’re more creative than that.

1-Massive Oscillator

Sawtooth, Pulse and Triangle waves with unique modifiers. Ultra Saw makes for huge sounds; Metalizer adds complex harmonics to the triangle wave. Sub Osc will rattle the house.

2-Steiner-Parker Filter

Beefy filter with Low Pass, High Pass and Band Pass modes. Resonance can be pushed into self-oscillation.

3-Modulation Matrix

Modulate the sound of the MicroBrute SE by connecting modulation sources and destinations. You can also use it to connect with external gear. With the MicroBrute SE's stackable patch cables, you get even more modulation possibilities!

4-Sequencer

You get 8 sequences with up to 64 steps each to create multiple musical phrases.

5-Superfast Envelope

ADSR envelope generator allows the sharpest attacks or extra-long release times.

6-Syncable LFO

The LFO supplies three waveforms and can run in sync with the Sequencer.

7-Fine Tuning

The MicroBrute SE uses 100% analog VCO's. Although ours are very stable, you may sometimes need to tune your instrument.

8-CV/Gate in/out

Connect your MicroBrute SE with your vintage analog gear.

9-Audio in/out

Process audio through MicroBrute SE; connect it to your favorite devices thanks to its audio input and output as well as MIDI input.

10-USB Connection

Control MicroBrute SE from your DAW or use it as a master keyboard.

MicroBrute takes me back to the joy I felt when I pushed that first key and a saw wave spoke back to me. MicroBrute allows for more than 100% values of such things as keyboard tracking. MicroBrute melds the best in a compact little powerhouse.

This mighty little machine runs the gamut from metallic, brutal bass to velvety bleepy, bloopy goodness - and is a sheer joy to play. The single oscillator is wildly diverse (wait till you meet the "Metalizer & Ultra Saw") and I love the sequencer and Mod Matrix which is vicious fun. Very inspiring!

The small form factor is disproportionate to the massive sound you can get out of MicroBrute. Having used many Arturia soft synths, this is a great piece to transition from a laptop. Turn the switch and go.

Once again Arturia has given me the best of both worlds with MicroBrute. It's blowing minds at both my recordings session and in concert. The perfect compliment to my already diverse rig.

There's nothing like having the touch of knobs and buttons under your fingertips.. Makes it an organic experience. MicroBrute working right along with the MiniBrute just takes it over the top. It's already started to inspire new ideas with my writing and production.

If there is a keyboard name that suits well, it is the MicroBrute. Mini keyboard for big warm tones. Intuitive, fast, fun. A really good CV.

I liked MicroBrute because it is small and portable and it is useful for me because I am always on the road. It Is very simple but it has a very strong signal and great filter. I like to use it as a starting point and put it through a bunch of different effects from other machines and also plug-ins. And I can make it sound very my own and unique.

The craziest part about it is that I can put it in my backpack and yet it's a true analog synthesizer. That's what I was waiting for. I microsized my all setup. Microsized ! That's not even a word !

A small and affordable little synth that is very fun to use and that can find its own place thanks to a real saturation and incisive sound.
