Pure
Analog

Hands-On
Heaven

The Brute
into details

Here Comes the Sun

The melody is a saw-tooth wave with alot of ultrasaw modulation and bandpass-filtering. The filter sweeping was recoreded live and effected later. The first melody was later on recorded twice with further sub-overtones.

Glen Darcey's Microbrute demo track

Slow Beat

Pierce Warnecke

An electro/hiphop track that explores Microbrute's possibilities as a Lead synth (using 2 voice lead part and modulation on both the PWM and Metalizer via the MOD Matrix). All sounds except for the kick/snare/clap/hat were made using Microbrute.

Space House

Pierce Warnecke

This slow house/disco inspired track uses exclusively Microbrute sounds (except for the drums). From deep basses to bubbling pops, sequenced acid-like synth lines to distorted effects, this is an overview of the range of sounds one can get out of this power.

Adrian Utley

Portishead

"I love the sound of the original, and MicroBrute's got that character and can be even wilder. You can get all kinds of musical interactions with other analog gear and drum machines. Combine the two together and you're rocking..."

André Bowman

will.i.am

"Big, ballsy sound! Arturia has another sonic monster on its hands!"

Anthony Gonzalez

M83

"It is actually the best thing on earth for travelers. Being able to record anytime with a beautiful sounding analog synth is just priceless! Try to connect MicroBrute to the minibrute then it opens a world of new possibilities. Great job Arturia !"

Chris Cross

Ultravox

"For me, a Synthesizer that has no presets is an adventure every time. MicroBrute is a recipe for audio joy. MicroBrute soon becomes a real electronic instrument, that develops with your knowledge and expertise."

Hideki Matsutake

Sound Engineer

"Its a SMALL GIANT! I love the MicroBrute!!"

Keith Shocklee

Public Enemy

"The craziest part about it is that I can put it in my backpack and yet it's a true analog synthesizer. That's what I was waiting for. I microsized my all setup. Microsized ! That's not even a word !"

oLI dE SaT

Indochine

"If there is a keyboard name that suits well, it is the MicroBrute. Mini keyboard for big warm tones. Intuitive, fast, fun. A really good CV."

PJ Morton

Maroon 5

"There's nothing like having the touch of knobs and buttons under your fingertips. MicroBrute working right along with the MiniBrute just takes it over the top. It's already started to inspire new ideas with my writing and production."

Roger Manning Jr.

Keyboardist

"Once again Arturia has given me the best of both worlds with MicroBrute. It's blowing minds at both my recordings session and in concert. The perfect compliment to my already diverse rig."

Sandra Vu

Dum Dum Girls

"The small form factor is disproportionate to the massive sound you can get out of MicroBrute. Having used many Arturia soft synths, this is a great piece to transition from a laptop. Turn the switch and go."

Tara Busch

I Speak Machine

"This mighty little machine runs the gamut from metallic, brutal bass to velvety bleepy, bloopy goodness - and is a sheer joy to play. Very inspiring!"

Terry Lawless

U2

"MicroBrute takes me back to the joy I felt when I pushed that first key and a saw wave spoke back to me. MicroBrute allows for more than 100% values of such things as keyboard tracking. MicroBrute melds the best in a compact little powerhouse."

Joris Delacroix

DJ / Producer

"A small and affordable little synth that is very fun to use and that can find its own place thanks to a real saturation and incisive sound."

Nina Kraviz

DJ / Producer

"I liked MicroBrute because it is small and portable and it is useful for me because I am always on the road. It Is very simple but it has a very strong signal and great filter. I can make it sound very my own and unique."

On MicroBrute

"The MicroBrute - with its own characteristic sound - is one of our favorites."

Keyboard Magazine

On MicroBrute

"If you’re an analog head, the Arturia MicroBrute is definitely the way to go."

Keyboard Magazine

On MicroBrute

"The sound is anything but “pretty” compared to other contemporary analog synths, but that aggressive character is what makes it essential to my sounds. This synth is meaty and macho like nothing else. If you don’t already own a ’Brute, it’s clear that you will. At this price, practically everyone will."

Music Radar

On MicroBrute

"you get plenty of synth for not a great deal of money"

MusicTech

On MicroBrute

"MicroBrute should be the first synth students use to learn the basics of analogue synthesis. Thi synth can probably go to more places than any other single-oscillator machine out there"

Future Music

On MicroBrute

"The Micro – by virtue of its own distinctive sounds – is one of our favourites."

Rekkerd.org

On MicroBrute

"the MicroBrute is a landmark new synth at an incredible price"

Sonic State

On MicroBrute

"Is love too strong a word to use for an inanimate object ? Perhaps. But I really clicked with the MicroBrute. It has real character, plenty of sonic scope , even as only a single Osc mono with its limitations, and the patching and interfacing is really brilliant"

Sound On Sound

On MicroBrute

"The MicroBrute is a pure analogue synth, and it sounds like one. The MicroBrute will become a significant success in its own right."

Audio Fanzine

On MicroBrute

"Genetically gifted! We have here a full-fledged synth that ought to bring down the last barriers and seduce die-hard opponents of real electronic instruments. It has earned a well-deserved 2013 Best Value for Money Award! It's unbelievable! This modest investment allows you to have an analog sound with a strong character."

Future Music

On MicroBrute

"I have to admit to falling for the MicroBrute almost immediately. It is compact, powerful, flexible and fun"

MusicTech

On MicroBrute

"A great little synth that you can have a lot of fun with and use as the hub of a bigger network of gear. Superb value, too."

Tape Op

On MicroBrute

"With the MicroBrute, Arturia has a winner, and along with a few other gear manufacturers, they seem to have tacitly acknowledged that we have come back to "days of future past" in search of the visceral thrill of "real" control over a wild and untamed sonic palette."

Future Music

On MicroBrute

"A modern analogue single oscillator, multi-waveform monosynth that avoids just being a retro clone."
