The origins
of acid
Viele der berühmtesten und gefragtesten Instrumente der Geschichte waren zum Zeitpunkt ihrer Einführung nicht direkt beliebt. Oftmals für einen bestimmten Zweck entworfen, aber von Anwendern für etwas völlig anderes eingesetzt – so entsteht Revolution.
Als der Synthesizer namens TB-303 Bass Line 1981 auf den Markt kam, war er als Ersatz für Bassgitarren gedacht. Der Klang wurde aber von Musikern als unrealistisch bezeichnet und drei Jahre später ie Produktion eingestellt. Doch als das Gerät Ende der 1980er Jahre in die Hände von Produzenten elektronischer Musik gelangte, wurde die 303 vollkommen anders eingesetzt.
Der 303-Sound klang vielleicht nicht wie eine Bassgitarre, er erwies sich jedoch als Katalysator, der die gesamte Dance-Music-Bewegung prägte. In Chicago begann diese Revolution. Künstler wie Phuture und Sleezy D veröffentlichten Tracks mit knackigen, sprudelnden und schroffen Basslinien, die das Publikum zuvor einfach noch nie gehört hatte.
Der Übeltäter? Gebrauchte 303-Geräte, gepaart mit den hypnotischen Rhythmen der House Music. So wurde „Acid House“ geboren und der skurrile Bass-Synthesizer spielte später eine wichtige Rolle bei Rave, Hardcore und Psytrance… Heute ist sein Sound bei vielen ein Favorit, von Daft Punk über Aphex Twin bis hin zu Tame Impala. Die Vergangenheit der Musik ist in der Gegenwart immer noch prominent – und jetzt legt Acid V die Zukunft in deine Hände.

Das ist kein gewöhnlicher 303-Klon. Acid V wurde bewusst mit frischen und experimentellen Funktionen ausgestattet, die für explosive Klangreaktionen ausgelegt sind.
Massiverer und besserer Sound
Noch tiefere und verrücktere Bassline-Sounds bekommst du mit dem Suboszillator im Bereich von zwei Oktaven und einem Vibrato, das von langsamer Verstimmung bis hin zur hörbaren Audiogeschwindigkeit reicht.
Distortion
Der 303-Sound klingt so charakteristisch mit Verzerrung, dass das eine ohne das andere nicht möglich wäre. Wir haben 14 Algorithmen integriert, um praktisch jeden knackige Crunch erzeugen zu können.

Hard bass sequence with funky modulations and big distortion, great for techno and hard techno. Brightness opens cutoff.
Trance's Waves
Aggressive synthetic bass line, that goes well with your Hard Trance productions. Use Brightness to open the filter. For a perfect result, a BPM of 150 is recommended.

A classic EDM arp, with subtle injections of glide and vibrato, primed for all kinds of electronic music.
Chopper
Simple acid arpeggiator. You can try generating accent and slide sequences while tweaking the knobs. Time Macro adds flanger effect.

Heavy overtones from distortion. Sounds like oscillator sync. Try saw wave for a different set of overtones. Brightness controls the filter frequency.

Dark atmospheric hard acid riff with pitch delay. Use Brightness to change cutoff.

Uptempo Killer
Uptempo kick. Best in C1 range, 180 to 220 BPM. Time macro controls the impact's pitch modulation made by modulation 3. Brightness macro controls the tone. Movement controls the tone as well, but in a harder way, by moving multifilter's cutoff.
Acid Kick
Techno kick preset. You can change the pitch attack with Time Macro. Brightness and Timbre Macros will give you a more aggressive sound. Movement Macro acts like a filter.
