Jun-6 V combines beautiful polysynth thickness with an ultra-easy interface to satisfy your analog needs from the very first note. Its simple controls, accessible creative features, and modern enhancements make it an essential keyboard that you’ll just keep coming back to.

Jun-6 V’s sound

Chords that'll shake the foundations, textures that'll illuminate the sky, and unison bass that'll leave your audience speechless. When you want instant mix-filling analog fatness, Jun-6 V is the answer. Your ticket to no-nonsense ‘80s synth glory.

Simplifying polyphony

Jun-6 V channels the instant-access polyphonic formula that put the Juno series on the map, making massive chords and real analog textures easier than ever to find in your DAW.

The stereo synth

With stereo outputs and a built-in chorus circuit that’s almost as iconic as the synth itself. Jun-6 V creates extra-wide sounds that’ll fill out your mix in no time.

Analog remade

Using our exclusive TAE® technology, every circuit and part of this polysynth icon has been re-engineered to behave just like the original, putting authentic Juno sound in your hands.

Iconic, irresistible

The sounds made famous by countless artists for the past 4 decades, from Eurythmics to Enya, New Order to The Weeknd, captured in a singularly faithful softsynth.

Polyphony
to the masses

Jun-6 V's hardware predecessor was released at a time when a polyphonic synth was a luxury. Many consider the Juno series to have struck a rare and perfect balance when it comes to synthesizer design. Their ease of use, vivid analog sound, and relative affordability helped put the coveted multi-voiced within reach of a bigger audience.

Simple layouts, DCO tuning stability, and deceptively massive sound. The Juno family left a lasting impression on the music world. From the glossy pop stylings of A-ha, to the signature sci-fi atmospheres of Vangelis, to being a pivotal character on the Chicago house scene, their influence was undeniable.

The first model, the Juno-6, was unveiled in 1982, at a time when synthesizers were expanding and competing for broader sound palettes, a higher voice count, more controls. This was just a year after the release of Roland’s polysynth behemoth, the Jupiter-8.

Discover the history of Juno

A bold move - but the Juno offered something different. Here was an analog keyboard that was smaller. It had less controls. It had fewer voices. Was it a gamble, or did its designers know exactly what they were doing? We’ll take the latter…

This was the first analog polysynth to be sold on the market under $2000. Its simple layout meant that it sounded jaw-dropping from the moment you plugged it in - no tweaking required. The icing on the cake? The now-iconic yellow-button stereo BBD chorus that took a big sound and made it gigantic.

In the years that followed, the range was expanded with the Juno-60 and Juno-106, offering 56 and 128 patch memory slots respectively. The addition of MIDI to the Juno-106 cemented this series’ place among the synth greats, selling over 100,000 units. Just ask Dave Stewart, BT, Junkie XL, John Frusciante, Alicia Keys...

Jun-6 V offers instant access to not just the raw power that put these keyboards on the map - but a catalog of enhancements that bring it soaring into the modern age.

Pure
analog spirit

The Juno synths were notoriously easy to use - Jun-6 V is no different.

From the minute you open it up, you’ll be in familiar synthesis territory, from the simplicity of DCOs to the instant stereo glory of BBD chorus. Dial in a dynamite sound that’s true to the original in no time.

01. Voice Calibration

To bring you the authentic Juno experience, we even went to the lengths of offering different levels of analog voice dispersion. Subtle variations in condition and voltage sometimes meant that each voice was very slightly different, from filter cutoff to VCA envelope attack. Choose a level of analog drift to suit your taste - squeaky clean, rough around the edges, or somewhere in the middle.

02. Back to the arpeggiator

Jun-6 V takes the classic arpeggiator formula back to basics, so you can instantly weave driving hypnotic patterns on the fly, just like the good old days. Put aside complex multi-mode arp algorithms - simplicity and musicality is the aim of the game.

Arpeggiator in action

Sometimes all you need is a simpel up & down arpeggio to get your track moving. Jun-6 V’s arpeggiator brings immediate colorful synth-pop vibes.

Learn more

The arpeggiator is as synonymous with classic synth sound as analog oscillators and low-pass filters. When you think of the ‘80s analog sound, you hear an arpeggiator.

Sometimes you need a quick, easy solution when it comes to animating your chord parts. It doesn’t get much simpler than up, down, or up & down. Tweak the rate and add up to 3 octaves of upper range, and you’re deep into synthwave territory.

03. Double-barrelled filter

There are filters, and there are filters. Jun-6 V perfectly emulates the simple yet refined sculpting capabilities of its ‘80s ancestor. Go for bubbling low-pass warmth, dynamic high-pass tension, or a combination of the two.

VCF (low-pass)

Enjoy Jun-6 V’s beautiful -24db low-pass resonant filter; one sweep and you’ll be hooked.

HPF (high-pass)

A sweep of the non-resonant high-pass filter illustrates how it smooths out your lower frequencies and is a great tension-and-release tool.

Learn more

The low-pass VCF modeled for Jun-6 V is considered one of the all-time greats; from velvety smooth to screaming resonance. This crucial subtractive synthesis component lets you tame Jun-6 V’s fiery DCO’s and 6-voice sound into sounds that are subtle and delicate.

Alongside it is the single-control high-pass filter. Use it in conjunction with the VCF for a bandpass effect, or dramatically lift the low end out of the equation to signal an approaching chorus or musical climax.

04. Let’s talk about chorus

The classic dual chorus that’s almost as famous as the synthesizers it's synonymous with. Jun-6 V’s chorus boasts the same authentic BBD character and subtle stereo spread for an irresistibly warm cinematic sound.

Chords sequence

With Chord Mode, a simple dotted-eighth melodic pattern can become a full mix-filling accompaniment, complete with individually-assigned diatonic chord voicings.

Learn more

Jun-6 V’s core sound is thick enough to chew on, but sometimes a little extra garnish goes a long way. That garnish is the built-in chorus. This subtle voice dispersion adds the perfect amount of width for an optimum mix filler.

Mode II offers a higher rate and depth, moving into uniquely colorful territory rather than textural stereo spread. Engaging both I and II unlocks a ‘secret’ setting, summing both modes in mono - just like the original.

Complex,
meet simple

Jun-6 V represents the virtual rebirth of a classic; it doesn’t end there though.

We’ve expanded this polysynth icon with just enough extra modulation & FX tricks to enhance its sound without compromising its signature simplicity.

The Juno 6 was renowned for its simplicity. Meticulously-modeled DCOs (digitally controlled oscillators) kept everything in tune, with a dynamite blend of square, ramp, sub, and noise. Your sound was shaped by a simple but effective twin filter setup. Add an LFO, an ADSR envelope, and a 3-mode stereo chorus, and you’ve got yourself a Juno. We took this familiar formula and cranked it up a few notches - how? We’re glad you asked...

Enhanced expression,
enhanced performance

Jun-6 V is a hands-on, express-yourself kinda synthesizer, with an irresistible sound that begs to be played over and over - it doesn’t end there though.

We’ve expanded this polysynth icon with just enough extra modulation & FX tricks to enhance its sound without compromising its signature tactile simplicity.

01. Modwheel, Velocity & aftertouch

With the Modwheel, tweak the LFO intensity for the DCO and/or VCF, or assign to a destination of your choice. Assign Velocity or AfterTouch to a modulation destination of your choice for dynamic movement that responds to every touch.

02. Expanded modulation

One envelope has become two, and a second multi-waveform LFO has been added to the mix. The second ADSR envelope features two freely assignable destinations, as does LFO 2. Perfectly accessible modulation that adds just enough movement without detracting from Jun-6 V’s hands-on playability.

LFO2

A sample & hold waveform modulating the VCF cutoff frequency, bringing dynamic random movement to a static vintage-sounding patch.

03. Delay & Reverb

On the FX front, you’ll find some additional spacious reverb and delay. This simple addition takes Jun-6 V’s unmistakably vintage sound and sets it up for contemporary application. Cinematic ambience, stadium-sized pop chords, and bouncing trap lead lines are all within reach.

Pulsing reverb

Using Jun-6 V’s modulation controls, you’re able to turn modern digital FX into composition tools. Here, the reverb dry/wet is being gradually modulated for moving ambience.

04. Chord Mode

transform every note into a full-sounding chord, and choose from 12 voicings including your own custom voicing

3 Mode Chorus

Cycling through dry, mode I, mode II, and the ‘secret’ mode 3, with its original mono sound and faster modulation rate. Lush.

05. Bender & Unison

exactly what you think it is. Again, hardwired to the DCO and VCF for instant pitch bends and dynamic build-ups. Unison assigns multiple voices to a single note for condensed fatness, perfect for pumping bass arps or red-hot leads - choose your density and detune to taste.

Summer 83

Solidtrax

This one is a bit complicated, because we really don't know in what category this fits the best. I think it borrows something from Down Tempo (Chill-Out) and Electronic genres (Chillwave) and perhaps even some Ambient (New Age). We used number of 13 Jun-6V instances for this track. Everything is made with Jun-6, this includes drums.
